[At the contact, the sensation is like a rush of clean water through her mind, sweeping everything dark out of the corners of her psyche and washing it away. Fear, insecurity, sadness, shame — every negative emotion that's been weighing her down — is swept into the distance, so far away it can no longer touch her.
Left behind is a feeling of warmth and well-being, and a gentle lightheartedness that wasn't there before.]
Yep. It's a pretty effective ward against nightmares.
To that end, here:
[He offers her the bag]
There's a couple sleep potions in there, and a BLT in case your appetite comes back. Having some good food and rest while you're feeling up to it makes things easier to cope with overall, I think, Cloud Nine or not.
Feel free to text me any time if you'd like me to turn it off or refresh it. You have permission to wake me up, so don't worry about asking, even if it's late. I really don't mind.
That goes for Hurricane, too, if you wind up talking with him about it. I get the feeling he could probably stand a good night's rest, one of these days.
I'm taking it easy today. You're more than welcome to come over if you'd like a place to chill...? We have a pool, a sento-style bath, a beanbag lounge for napping, and a movie theater with stupid movies on demand, if any of those sound appealing.

When's the last time you ate?
Re: Day 170
'M not hungry, so prolly not that long ago...
[From her expression, she has no recollection either way, but she waves her hand, dismissing the topic]
Anyways, forget your lunch. Maybe I wanna try your power thing, I guess.
Re: Day 170
[He extends a hand, palm up]
Give me your hand?

--Oh.
[She stands up straighter, tension draining from her shoulders and jaw. Barks out a laugh, kind of incredulously stunned. She keeps hold of his hand]
That's--wow.

[Brightens]
...But maybe he'll listen this time. Hope springs eternal, right?
Re: Day 170
I'll just keep asking him, I guess.
Do you have any plans for the rest of your day?
Re: Day 170
What're you up to?

[turns to lead her back toward the stairs.]
Do you need to stop to grab a swimsuit or will you swim in your clothes?
