[Around this time, Sekhmet enters the apartment, walking briskly towards the two and the pillow fort. She doesn't get a good look, but it's enough to put a cold, nauseous feeling in the pit of her stomach. She was expecting something bad, and poor Hurricane- this must be the 4th time- he suffers so much. But it's still horrible and heartbreaking to see. (All the worse for the excited reaction to such violence from that certain place in the back of her mind)
Without meaning to, she's blinking away moisture in her eyes.]
I, um, I'm here.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[Nemesis doesn't rise from where she's kneeled on the floor, and doesn't do anything to loosen the grip on Hurricane's hand. She does look up to greet Sekhmet at least, expression grim and face off-color. Her tone is obviously-forced casual nevertheless, as if open wounds and an impressive amount of blood scattered over the flooring is your typical Sunday night.
Which...well.]
So-- Guess you can see why I called. Think you can help some?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[He glances up from where he's kind of huddled into the corner - doesn't let go of Nemesis' hand, but gets the other up in a some kind of vague greeting.]
[He hesitates a beat - a beat longer - realizes he is going to actually have to say something, and fumbles his phone out. He rests it on his thigh so he can tap something into it, and after a couple of long seconds of painstakingly trying to do this one-handed, Sekhmet gets a text:]

Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[She kneels next to Nemesis to examine Hurricane and his wounds- surprisingly calm, but dour. This never stops terrifying her on some level, she is no expert on medical treatment or the human body despite her attempts to pore over certain books in the library, and attending John's first aid courses. Still, some part of her is able to remain objective and methodical in these situations.
Immediately, his injuries raise a lot of questions about what he was doing, and about the obvious fact that somebody must have caused them very deliberately.]
What would you have me do, then? Re-attach your eye and leg ports?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
If you heal the attach points too early, you just gotta reopen'em to get the port as part of the body, y'know? And that's probably gonna take some, uh, positioning, so turning off the feeling there'll make that be a lot less terrible for all of us, I think.
For his voice, I mean, also seems high-priority, but I dunno...I dunno.
[She indicates the precise slice over his vocal cords, but Nemesis knows much less about all this than Sekhmet does, so who knows if that can even be properly mended]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[It looks like someone performed extremely thorough and somewhat exploratory surgery in order to detach his port, took his fake eye out and put it back in without reconnecting it, and slit his vocal cords. The injuries around his wrists hint at restraints that he fought like hell to get out of, and there's bruising and scrapes around his jaw, too, on both sides of his face.]
[He nods to confirm what Nem's said - lets her talk without interrupting. He doesn't quite relax - he's too keyed up to relax, tense and trembling - but jesus, is it ever nice to let someone who's looking out for him drive for a minute.]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[Gods, what trouble did he get into now? The brutality of it chilling, especially in the light of having recently acquired memories of herself being tortured. Maybe that's why she finds herself being so soft on kids of their age range, her own having been a living hell. And something seems particularly terrible about forcibly muting him.
She immediately numbs his whole body, and, rather uncomfortably, puts a finger into his throat wound, rubbing the torn larynx back into place and mending it, before sealing the wound.]
Um, try to talk.

Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[Nemesis just watches. It'd probably be helpful if she went to grab some towels or water or something, but... Maybe for now just keeping hold of his hand is enough, even if he might not be able to feel it anymore]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[His voice is a wreck. He sure did get plenty of screaming in before he got shut up for good, and it comes out little more than a hoarse whisper - but it comes out.]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
...I mean, you can take a rain check if you don't mind being kinda cockeyed. I dunno if it hurts to try and focus or anything. But if now's a bad time.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Um, a-ah, right! And I can try doing it the other way first, um... I don't know how well it will work, but you've been through a lot, and we can just ah, take a moment, instead.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[He can just not look for that. Checking out while she works sounds great.]
[But he is well aware how jacked up it is, so he is definitely fumbling with his belt pouch to get a screwdriver out and offering it over to her, handle first.]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[Possibly jumping the gun a bit, what with the actual port itself still lying in pieces a couple feet away? That said, Nemesis takes the opportunity and finally moves, aiming to gather the pieces of what was once attached to or inside of the flesh part of his leg]
Quick rinse and then Sekhmet, you can just...make it part of the body again...right?
[That’s more or less how it had worked for her arm, so...?]

[Looks to Hurricane to confirm, but seems right?]

Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Okay, looks like we've got that back. Don't talk too much for a while. Let it rest.
Next I'll do your eye, alright?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Do you gotta take it out to put it back in or something...?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[Probably he doesn't mean for there to be a wobble midway through the sentence. Probably he's going for casual, or at least less blatantly anxious.]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
It, ah, would probably be easier to just take it out- I'll do it fast, it's really simple.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[His grip on Nemesis' hand is probably tight enough to hurt. He isn't breathing quite right.]
Y-yeah, sure.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
So it probly oughtta get, like. Fixed.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Or--you don't gotta like, physically plug it in or nothing, do you? Could you just adjust it from here, maybe...?
[It is kind of unnerving the way it rolls around in there for the moment, but versus the alternative...]
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[And she wants to spare him the discomfort of fiddling around a lot with his eye.]
How about we work on his leg for now?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]

Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
He installed it last time, and it was a bit more... involved, as I recall.
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
Pretty sure it's working this time. It just, like. It's just - y'know. He, like -
Took it... off...?
Re: [Day 183, probably not too much after midnight]
[She supposes he would know. She puts on fresh gloves, and carefully reinserts the port.]
