[Nemesis is waiting in the appropriate spot at the appropriate time, hair tamed and carrying a small bouquet--long stems of bluebells, lily of the valley, sunflowers, carnations, and a pink rose, tied with a tyrian and navy ribbon. She rocks back on her heels as she waits, the anticipatory type of nervous, but straightens as Requiem approaches]

[ laughs and carries over the popcorn, dropping it in her lap to ruffle her hair a little with both hands. ]

What can I say. I can hardly resist that beautiful face.

[ Immediately cups her cheeks and presses in to kiss those fishlips with an exaggerated noise. ]

[Smooches back, going for volume over anything, though she places her hands over Req's]

[ laughs against her lips, but pulls back to press a gentler, quieter kiss to her forehead, before letting her go and floating into bed. ]

[ Lifts up the blankets and opens her arm to let nem scooch in, settling comfortably against her. ]

[tucks up beside her, legs crossed, then presses play. the opening credits to Megashark vs. Sharktopus Rex splash across the screen.]

I think this one won an Oscar.

[ reaches for some popcorn... ]

[Will try them at least. On screen, the show starts with a flurry of excitement and bad CG explosions]

If nothing else, pretty sure the plot won't make sense whether or not we wander off halfway through.

... I got so excited about movie that I forgot about the song.

[ and reaches over to the tablet to pause the movie and climb out of bed. ]

Oh--oh yeah! Do I gotta do something special for a serenade?

Nope. Just chill.

[ floats over to grab her bass and sit back on the edge of the bed, reaching up to adjust the pegs and pluck, tuning it.

... hesitates a moment, then reaches up to the pegs in her neck and gently twists them a little, too, humming as she does. ]

[Settles back to listen, tucking her legs under herself]

[ Tuned to where she wants it-- her voice sounds a little clearer, now, too-- she starts plucking at the bass strings, and after a moment, begins to sing.

obviously without the reverb or embellishments, and definitely paced just a bit slower, to easier match her playing. ]

[Listens, rapt, leaning in a bit as Req plays. She doesn't move until the last notes fade away, when she bounces closer to grab at Req's arm]

Oh--oh wow. That was so good. How long've you been holding onto that one?

[ she flushes bright red, but grins, leaning into her touch. ]

Uh... embarrassingly long? Like since last Valentine's at least.
