[There is more to Hachijo Island than just creepy hotels filled with fungus--though there are plenty of those.

But one doesn't need to visit one for impressive-looking black-sand beaches with tide pools and sea turtles frolicking nearby, or tall, green cliffs that fall off into the sea, or mountains to climb, or hot springs with views of the aforementioned cliffs and beaches or even overlooking a waterfall.

Nemesis comes ashore with satchel full, looking between the greenery and the water and the mountains rising nearby, and then over to Hurricane, grinning]

...Ready to relax?

[He's half a second behind her - gets clear into open space and laughs, breathless]

[Lets out a startled whoop, as gravity takes hold]

[Does the same, yelping as she begins to fall, stomach trailing a bit behind]

[Despite no small amount of flailing, she manages to hit the water with legs pointed to slice through the water. It still makes an incredible splash, though]

[He's half a second behind her, the splash when he hits in a cannonball no less spectacular]

[Despite the proximity to the onsen, the water is fairly chilly, enough that she's a little breathless when she finally surfaces, swimming around to wait for him to follow]

Hahah!

[He pops up a second later, just as breathless, hair plastered to his face and laughter ringing out even over the roar of the falls]

[She gives a whoop, shoving her hair out the way before splashing at him with a grin]

[He isn't actually great at swimming, so the return splash isn't as dramatic as it could be if he wasn't busy staying afloat, but he sure is doing his best]

[She knows enough not to dunk him...or at least, when she dunks him under the water anyway, she knows to make sure he comes up after]

[He sure does]

[By holding onto her shoulder and trying to shove her down, too]

[She blurbles, struggling to push back up before switching and going the other way, back deeper into the water]

Wh - whoa!

[Spoilers, he was just leaning on her, so when she goes under, he also does,]

[She laughs, bubbles floating out with the sound. She pokes at his sides before kicking back towards the surface]

[Pokes back, possible close to tickling, as he kicks back toward the surface, himself]

[She kicks a little harder, though at his legs or just enthusiastic treading water is difficult to tell]

[A burst of bubbles, this time, as he laughs - and then he's breaking the surface again, lunging toward her to poke at her]

[She attempts to squirm away, splashing at him in defense, that's totally a stone wall, surely]

[Surely it is impossible to tickle through a stone wall, and yet he is trying,]

[She bats at his hands--breaks through to attempt to tickle at his sides, how's that]

[He squawks laughter - disappears under the surface when he tries to bat at her in return]

[With a crow she swims a bit back away from him; she knows what she'd do in this case, so attempts to pull her feet up closer to her body]

[Probably a good call, because it's only a beat or two later that she can feel something brushing agaisnt her under the water, as though attempting a tickle assault from this new front]

[Yelping, she attempts to retreat further, running into shallower water at the edge of the pond]

[He follows - possibly?]

[At least, there is an ominous ripple coming her way, under the water]

[Ominous... She retreats further towards the shallows, mostly? pulling away...at least until she bumps against a stone, no place else to run]

[Noplace else to run!!!]

[Which means he's popping up out of the water like a shark in a bad horror movie to tackle her]
