[And then hangs up before she can cough too much again. But she isn't that far away, maybe two minutes out before half the streets got full of imps and dragons and fires...maybe more like five, but she will drag herself in eventually, glasses cracked and hair matted with blood, clothing dark with corrosion burns and just generally low-key looking like shit. She will be on lookout for Req however, not exhausted enough not to be anxious]

[sinks into the embrace, winding her arms tight around Requiem as well and holding on a little desperately. which hopefully doesn't mix poorly with Req's twitchiness, but one way to find out]

[ she's a little tense, but it actually eases with the contact significantly, so! good news.

she curls her fingers in her shirt, hunching against her. ]

Sorry-- I'm sorry. I couldn't find you.

[very good news, because Nemesis wasn't looking forward to having to let go. instead she shakes her head no at Req's words]

Same, I-- Sorry. Can I--

[Breaks off to clear her throat; somehow loosens her grip on Req's back enough to attempt to cup her cheek instead, looking up at her]

[ she doesn't actually know if she's asking for a kiss or just to touch, but either way, tilting into her touch: ]

Whatever you want.

[Just contact in general from the look of it, and she takes a moment just to look up at her. Her hand is a little shaky, but warm enough when she brushes her thumb lightly over her cheekbone]

[ the touch almost instantly leaves a smear of color, shimmering gold, in its wake.

req doesn't seem to notice, just closing her eyes and leaning down to bump her head against nem's with a softly relieved sigh. ]

[It doesn't draw Nem's attention at the moment either, her eyes drifting shut at the contact, Requiem's forehead soothingly cool against hers. She strokes over Req's cheek again, gentle; her other arm moves down her back a little less desperate, but equally as firm]

[ content to rest there for a moment, humming, her voice gone slightly twangy and in need of a tune up...

But she doesn't pull away or open her eyes, her arm only curling more firmly around Nem's back. ]

[Stays another few beats; would probably stay even longer if not for needing to turn and cough into the crook of her elbow, hoarse and dry.

When she turns back to Req, already apologizing, she pauses--frowns at the off-color swaths on her face]

[ pulls back a little-- and frowns, confused. ]

Think I got imp juice on you or something, sorry...

[has nothing clean enough to offer, alas, but attempts to usher her towards the elevators so she can get cleaned up]

[ lets herself be herded... ]

[Good; imp juice is bad. Source: the imp juice that burned through her clothing and skin beneath said clothing. So she stands close but mostly not actually touching, just in case. GOOD COLOR, BUT :<]

[ nope, immediately taking her hand, its handholdin time. ]
