[The process is the same as before: cleaning, and disinfecting, and then applying the butterfly stitches. He's as gentle as before, keeping an eye on her reactions to try and tell if it gets too much]

[When he's finished, finally, he offers her a smile that's trying to be reassuring]

[The bird is about half-size when it appears, this time, perhaps to better maneuver through the dorm; it nuzzles Nem briefly, before it takes off to go do as asked]
