She rocks back on her heels as she waits, the anticipatory type of nervous, but straightens as Requiem approaches]

No it ain't. My girlfriend's the best.

[still holding on, a little shaky]

You’re not changing my mind so you may as well give it a rest.

[ stroking over her back, pulling back to look at her. ]

... you okay?

[unbr8kable]

[blinks hard a few times before she dares looking up at Req directly, and she’s flushed from the tips of her ears down to her collar. Her smile is crooked but genuine, though she attempts to tuck her face into Req’s chest as soon as feasibly possible, embarrassed]

You caught me by surprise; wasn’t ready for that attack.

[ her smile somehow softens more, and she wraps her arms firmly around her to gently squeeze, burying her face against her hair. ]

Turnabout's fair play, isn't it?

[muffled, pouting]

No.

That's a shame.

[ sits quietly for a moment, before, softly: ]

... love you.

[Makes a soft response, keeping her face buried but squeezing tighter]

[ giving her a nice firm squeeze in return, kissing her hair and remaining quiet, herself. ]

[breathes deep a couple times, a little hitch in the inhales, but otherwise stays put]

[ gently reaches up to stroke her fingers through the end of nem's hair, her voice soft. ]

... Kitty?

[Nods without raising her head, unclenching her hands from Req's shirt and smoothing them over her back instead. Eventually, quiet:]

...Mm?

You okay...?

[unbr8kable]

[Nods again, eventually turning her face to rest it over Req's heart. Her voice is a little rough and lashes low and shiny behind her glasses; her cheeks are flushed dark]

I-I'm good. Uh, thanks.

[stakesthesame]

[ stares down at her with some worry, gently petting her hair still despite her small frown. ]

You don't seem good... sorry. If I-- if it was too much.

[unbr8kable]

No, I...just...surprised myself. You’re good.

[and she looks back with another hesitant smile; raises her hand to brush over Req’s cheek, terribly gentle]

[ smiles back, hopefully reassuring, and lifts her own hand to cover nem's as she closes her eyes and presses in to the touch. ]

... alright.

[brushes over her cheekbone, and shifts so she can press a kiss to the other side of her jaw]

Too good... I—I’mma get spoiled.

[ that smile widens a little, cheeks warm, but she ducks her head down a little to receive that better. ]

You deserve it.

[gives her a few more of both, then]

That's what you say now. Soon enough I'll be drunk with entitlement, demanding feelings and attention, and then where'll you be?

[ a pleased hum, cheeks warm. ]

[flushes, and clambers a little closer to kiss a little further up her jawline and nuzzle into her neck]
