[Her shoulders loosen a little, and she grips back, clammy but firm. Lightly strokes over Req's cheekbone with the back of the fingers of her other hand, then tugs him towards the bathroom]

[He lets himself be led easy enough - nods an awkward kind of goodbye to Req as they go.]

[Is determined not to be awkward about it, instead stalking to the bathroom while desperately hoping not to run into anyone along the way. Luckily it's late enough that Avante is busy Avanteing and they can safely make it to the bathroom without incident.

Reluctantly, she drops hands so she can retrieve a first-aid kit from the medicine cabinet.]

Undo the old one, would you?

Ah - yeah. Sure.

[He hesitates, then ducks his head a little and starts unwinding the bandages.]

[Limps back over with a box of first-aid goods, opening the kit on the vanity and retrieving a squeeze bottle with a little straw from one end]

Lean in, lemme rinse.

[Follows her progress with the good eye, frowning at the limp. He leans in when she urges him to, though.]

...dude. Are you still hurt?

[Hums, taking the bottle and making to rinse with the solution; blocks his nose with her other hand.]

Might sting.

...you're gonna let me fix you up after this, right?

[Rinses until it runs pretty clean, then sets the bottle down. A moment, then she wipes his face dry with the towel, gently. Stares at the empty socket for maybe two beats too long before dipping to dig for the antibacterial ointment]

[Sorry not sorry, the socket is not actually empty. No one has actually done anything with the eye, oops.]

[And he is definitely wincing some when she cleans it out.]

that's cool. Digging in the kit for other things, too]

...Any reason to keep it?

The eye. It gets infected you'll be sick. And you'd have to have a new one anyways...right?

But I kinda don't wanna have people digging around in there more than once, if I don't gotta.

[Stares at him for a few beats, brow ridged...then nods, getting a q-tip for the ointment]

[Readies gauze and a wad of cotton as well, lays them out on the counter]

[Eyeing the cleaning supplies, a little uneasy.]

I'll just pack it up and wrap it with some gauze. Should last to tomorrow, at least.

[Comes in close, fingers almost touching his face but not, doing their best to be delicate. Her swipes are quick and efficient, clockwise then counterclockwise.

Then she retreats, turns to toss the swab in the trash. It takes her a minute before she turns back to him, eventually offering the cotton on his own time]

[During the cleaning, he loses what little color he has, until his face has an unhealthy kind of pallor. He is not quite steady on his feet - looks like he might pass out, honestly.]

[It takes him a second or two before he can manage:]

What. You don't think I could pull off an eye patch?

[Shrugs]

Just think there's something to be said for depth perception. Are you gonna hurl or can I wrap you up for now?
